The KIIT-TBI is an initiative of KIIT University has been established with a broader vision and mission of transforming research developments into commercially feasible technologies for the benefit of society.
KIIT-TBI developed within the premises of School of Biotechnology, KIIT University provides workspace with necessary facilities including access to its library, laboratories and faculty members/consultants who will provide all necessary expertise and advisory services. The Incubator has all required office infrastructure fully furnished with computers, meeting rooms, conference rooms, a high speed WI-FI internet connection along with advanced modern laboratory & instrument facilities necessary for nurturing, supporting and promoting knowledge/technology driven entrepreneurs to enable them to establish independent self sustained business enterprises. For the first time that an educational institution has established its own TBI center at Orissa, it is committed in providing all help to an young entrepreneur by empowering them with the knowledge, capital and networking that are critical to their development and growth.
The Centre has already started conducting several training programs and workshops to motivate the students, faculties, farmers and individuals to bring entrepreneurial thoughts into their day to day professional and research orientations. The centre is primarily focusing on ICT and green biotechnology entrepreneurship developments.
The Centre is nourished under the supervision of a galaxy of resource persons who are experts in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Growth, and is ably guided by Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, CEO, KIIT Technology Business Incubator, while renowned academicians, industrialists and noble laureates like Prof. Richard R. Ernst and Prof. Rolf M. Zinkernangel are directly involved with this centre for its developmental and research activities.
