Since its inception, KIIT-TBI BioIncubator has been able to evince a lot of enthusiasm in the scientific and academic communities for promotion of bio-entrepreneurship. It has proved to be a potential centre of relevance and excellence in the eastern part of India. The focus at the incubator has been on establishing innovation led technology ventures.
Our innovators at present are executing cutting-edge projects on various trans-disciplinary areas covering nanotechnology, diagnostics, biomed and life sciences.
BIRAC and KIIT-TBI have partnered to build an enabling ecosystem for promoting entrepreneurship and technology development in the east and northeast region of India under the BRTC (BIRAC REGIONAL TECHNO-ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROMOTION CENTRE) program.
A grant of up to 50 Lakhs for 18 months is provided to biotech start ups and entrepreneurial individuals to propel best in class innovative ideas to a POC-the first major milestone in the product development cycle.
Special Call - Biotechnology Ignition Grant for Northeast Region (BIG-NER)
DBT-BIRAC has launched a special call for submission of proposal under Biotechnology Ignition Grant only for Northeast region of India. KIIT-Technology Business Incubator is the only nodal agency in the country which is handling this programme in association with DBT-BIRAC.
Who can apply: Entrepreneurs, Startups, Scientists, Clinicians & Doctors, Faculty members, Students, Research Scholars and any Innovator.
Sectors Covering: Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Medical Devices & Diagnostics, Drugs & Vaccines, Waste Management, IoT, Data Analytics, Biosimilars & Stem Cells, any other allied areas of Life sciences.
Grant Money: 25 lakhs
Duration: 24 months
Call opens from: 1st December 2019
Call ends on: 15th January 2020 (5:30 PM)
